Day 1: Chennai airport arrival
Your arrival at Chennai Airport will be greeted by our representative and taken to the pre-booked hotel. Stay overnight in the hotel in Chennai.
Day 2: Chennai Sightseeing
Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, attracts many tourists. The city is also famous for its passion for music. In the morning, after having breakfast you will go to explore Marina Beach, Pulicat Lake, Kapaleeshwara Temple, Santhome Cathedral, Edward Elliot’s Beach, Valluvar Kottam, etc. further, you can go for shopping in the markets. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3: Covelong to Pondicherry
After having breakfast you will depart early for an excursion of Pondicherry. Pondicherry is the largest union territory. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Further, you will visit Promenade Beach, Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Rock Beach, Our Lady of Angels Church, etc. Return to the hotel and stay overnight at Thanjavur hotel.
Day 4: Pondicherry to Thanjavur
In the morning, you will depart for Thanjavur. Thanjavur is a significant city of South Indian culture, art, and architecture. On arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel. Later, you will go to explore the great Chola Temple- UNESCO world heritage monument, Brihadeeswara Temple, Thanjavur Maratha Palace, Thanjai Mamani Koil. Return to the hotel and stay overnight at Thanjavur hotel.
Day 5: Thanjavur to Trichy
After having breakfast you will depart early for an excursion of Trichy. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Further, you will visit Rangnathanswamy Temple- a generously spruced up temple complex which dates back more than 1,000 years with 7 enclosures, Ucchi Pillayar Temple, Rockfort – a 7th-century temple devoted to Lord Ganesha which is located at the top of Rockfort, Kallanai Dam – an ancient dam which has an acoustic view built across the Kaveri river. Stay overnight in hotel at Trichy.
Day 6: Tiruchirappalli to Madurai
The next morning after having a delicious South Indian breakfast, you will proceed towards Madurai. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, Thirumalai Nayak, Gandhi Memorial Museum, Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam, and Goripalayam Dargah–The largest mosque in Madurai and houses tombs of two Muslim rulers–.Hazrat Sultan Alauddin Badusha and Hazrat Sultan Shamsuddin Badusha. Return to hotel and stay overnight in Madurai. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 7: Madurai to Periyar
After having breakfast, you will leave for Periyar to explore Periyar National Park, famous as tiger and elephant reserve. On arrival, you will check into a hotel. In the evening, you will go to enjoy bird watching along with boat ride on the Periyar Lake where you can spot various species of birds. Rest at your leisure or you can explore the natural beauty. Stay overnight in Periyar.
Day 8: Periyar to Kumarakom
In the morning, after having breakfast, you will start your way to the enchanting backwater destination in Kumarakom. On arrival, check into a hotel. Further, you will go to enjoy a boat ride on the lake where you might spot some exotic species of birds along with the beautiful natural environs, Chavara Bhavan, St. Thomas Church, Adithyapuram Surya Temple. Return to the hotel and stay overnight in Kumarakom.
Day 9: Kumarakom to Alleppey
After having a healthy breakfast, you will leave for the largest backwater destination in Kerala i.e. Alleppey. It has a large network of island canals and also called “Venice of the East”. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel. Later you will visit Alappuzha Beach, Vembanad, Sree Krishna Swamy Temple, Alappuzha lighthouse and Jain temple. Stay overnight in Alleppey
Day 10: Alleppey to Kochi
The next morning, after having breakfast, you will be transported to the Kochi which is also known as Cochin importantly a spice trading center. Kochi is referred to as the Gateway to Kerala. After daylong sightseeing in Kochi, get relaxed at the hotel and have delicious lunch. Further, you will be exploring Marine drive, Backwaters of Kochi, Fort Kochi, Hill Palace, Mattancherry Palace, the St. Francis Church and Jewish Synagogue. Stay overnight in Kochi.
Day 11: Kochi to Chennai
In the morning, you will be transferred to Chennai Airport for your onward journey after the 10 daylong Kerala excursion.
